Born and bred in the Waikato, I’m a wife, mum to a very fresh little human, coffee enthusiast, professional organiser of absolutely everything, and someone who loves bringing people together.
During my university years, I spent my weekends and summers working at Woodlands Estate. It was there that my love of weddings really began. I loved helping couples enjoy a stress-free day, watching all the little details come together, and seeing people celebrate with those they love most.
Even after moving into a career in finance, weddings always had a way of pulling me back.
I’ve been with my husband since we were teenagers, so I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for a good love story. Hearing how couples met, what they’ve been through together, and all the little moments that brought them to their wedding day never gets old.
After recently getting married ourselves, my love for weddings came rushing back.
Our own wedding wasn’t the day we’d originally planned. We brought it forward so both of our dads could be there before they passed away. It wasn’t the big wedding we’d spent years imagining, but it ended up being even more special than we could have hoped for.
That experience reminded me that what matters most on a wedding day isn’t whether everything goes exactly to plan. It’s the people standing beside you and the story that got you there in the first place.
These days, I’m on maternity leave with my daughter, who completely changed my understanding of love. She’s taught me that love can be exhausting, hilarious, frustrating, and wonderful all at the same time.
When it comes to ceremonies, I like things to feel relaxed and natural. I love hearing how couples met, what makes them work, and the stories that friends and family have heard a hundred times but still laugh at.
One of my favourite moments of any wedding day happens just before the ceremony begins. While everyone else is watching for the bride, I’m usually watching the groom. Years of helping coordinate weddings taught me that the look on their face when they see their person for the first time tells you everything you need to know.
If you’re looking for a celebrant who’ll keep things organised, settle the nerves, and create a ceremony that has your guests laughing one minute and reaching for a tissue the next, I’d love to be part of your day.
Your celebrant plays a pretty big role on your wedding day, so it's important you find someone you genuinely connect with.
