How long is the ceremony?

Most personalised ceremonies run for around 20–30 minutes, although there’s no set time. The right length is whatever gives your ceremony room to breathe without losing the attention of your guests.

Can we write our own vows?

Absolutely. If you want to write your own vows, I’ll give you guidance and resources to help. And if the thought of writing them makes you want to hide under the bed, I can help with that too.

Will we get to see the ceremony beforehand?

Yes. You’ll receive your ceremony draft well before your wedding day so you have plenty of time to read it, provide feedback and make any changes you’d like.

What do we need to do before getting married in NZ?

You’ll need to apply for a marriage licence before your ceremony. I’ll guide you through what you need to do and make sure the legal side of things is taken care of.

Do you travel outside of Hamilton?

Yes. Travel within Hamilton is included, and I’m happy to travel further afield. Additional travel costs may apply depending on the location.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as you know your date, get in touch. Popular wedding dates can book well in advance, particularly during the peak wedding season.

Can we include our children, pets or family?

Of course. Whether your kids are walking the rings down, your dog is part of the bridal party, or someone special needs a meaningful role, we can make it work.

Can we get married anywhere?

Generally, yes. You can choose a location that works for you, provided you have permission to use the space and the ceremony meets New Zealand's legal requirements.
